What,s Snorkus delete on a Scooby????

I,ve been reading about various mods on WRX subaru,s and snorkus delete is mentioned a lot. Anyone know what this is?

?? God knows mate, lol

Unless they mean cutting out the intake bottle in the inner wing, I have and most people do this mod with the standard intake........but TBH I didnt notice any difference.

That's an easy one. It's after you've deleted the Snorkus. You're left with a Snorkus delete.

Clear now? :)

Makes no noticeable difference from my experience apart from a mildly louder turbo whizz noise.

There is a rather large and cumbersome air-resonator-box thingie under the front wing. It's purposes (from what I understand) are:

1. Keep induction noise down.
2. Prevent water/dust ingress into the air filter housing (airbox) and possibly the engine.
3. Give sad geeks like me an hours fun when we remove it :)

It definately increases induction noise and some people say it allows faster pickup but I didn't notice any performance increase.

If you are careful there's no reason you shouldn't be able to put it back later if you want.
