Got a weird fault on the tomcat.
Only happens when cornering hard especially with the steering is turned a lot.
Worse place it happens is at the bomb hole at snetterton
I can only describe it as bad chattering/wheel wobble through the steering -like it doesn't want to turn and transmits through the steering
Anyone got any idea's -nothing obvious appears wrong
Might be tyres -these are my first job any other ideas?

No there doesn't appear to be anything wrong, although I think it only started happening after I changed the lower suspension arms differant make not o.e and they are much closer to the brake discs than before - I am starting to wonder if any hard load they might touch the discs which might lead to this issue..stockcar wrote:worn or damaged wheel bearing, track control arm, ball joint, etc....??

Reading between the lines on your recent threads about steering issues Grip and increasing the tyre width
I have to ask the question.
When did you last have proper full 4 wheel alignment on the car?
Bad alignment can cause all of the issues you are talking about and dramtically reduce grip.
No parts out of the box will be correct and without proper laser geometry are almost impossible to set by your self
Just a thought as i have just had the skyline done and it has transformed the feel of the car.
My 2p and worth all that.

Bad alignment can cause all of the issues you are talking about and dramtically reduce grip.
No parts out of the box will be correct and without proper laser geometry are almost impossible to set by your self

Well the skyline is gone for good But how cool is my little replacement!!!!! 7lbs 12oz of pure joy....

I ended up having to reset the camber and alignment myself I have also now got the caster even too!
Wider tyres are simply a idea to try to go faster as with it being fwd I struggle for grip out of the corners as it got 50% more power than std
I will have it up again and see if there are any signs of disc to lower arm contact and also rack/ball joint movement

not got wider wheels yet - car is fully polybushed
could also be tyres as my r888 are badly banded -so these are the first thing I need once I get paid!
