Brembo Spare Parts

Post by Silver »

Hi everyone.

Was googling about rebuild brembo caliper, and founded Frayz caliper painting guide, very useful.

Iam trying to rebuild the brembo calipers need bit of pointing the right direction.

1. Trying to get new seals, piston and hoses
2. How to take the piston out? (The caliper didnt come with hose otherwise I would pump them out)
3. How to find out what the Max and Min size disc the caliper use.

Calipers are off E38 7 series goin on to the E46 they bolt straight on. I tried.

Pics of the caliper.

Put them back on the car and pump till they pop, or maybe some compressed air but you would have to make a fitting up.
You dont want to be attacking them with anything that will damage the piston

put some insulation tape round a air line blower and press hard against fitting on caliper, give the trigger a couple of squirts and they SHOULD pop out.

Ok thanks guys. goin to try force them out with compress air somehow!!
Dont have the hose to pump them out.

Goin to need to order new piston and seals because the guy I brought off already tried to take them out with a screwdriver and damage out edge of the pistons.

So when I get the pistons out I be giving you a call Alyn.

Thanks again for the advice guys!!
