Exhaust repacking

In order to resolve the noise issues on my RX-7 I think the first stage is to arrange for the silencer boxes on the midpipe and catback to be repacked. The exhaust system is probably at least 4 years old and I understand that the packing can breakdown and be blown out of the exhaust over time. The exhaust system is one by Mongoose and I'm told that they are not usually very loud so something somewhere isn't right.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in Norfolk/Suffolk where this can be done.
Thanks,
mf.

I would have a talk to either Fast Eddy in here, or Mark @ Power and Performance in Honingham.

Both of these guys have exhaust fitting repairing facilities and materials

Best of luck but I think you're right; you've probably blown most of the packing material out over time.

Thanks for the advise guys. I have been to see Power and Performance this afternoon and the car is booked in on Friday for a new box to be fitted to the midpipe, apparently it is a nightmare to try and repack the box on the midpipe so it's being replaced. I have a decibel meter on order so at least will be able to see if I have improved the static test reading. If it's not improved enough then it's on the back box. :)

Gareth - I have a feeling that I have read somewhere that a bung is not recommended for rotary engines something to do with back pressure and seals I think, so I will avoid this if I can.
Cheers
