Hi everyone, I have, what I am lead to belive is a brake master cylinder and servo unit from a '99 Subaru WRX. I am intending in fitting this into my car to help improve my braking. The problem I have is that I do not know which port on the master cylinder goes to which wheel on the car! The master cylinder in question has four ports, one for each wheel, can anyone shed any light on which wheel caliper is fed from which port?
Photos when I get back to the ranch sometime tonight.

What set up is it replacing?
From what I know, a '99 WRX would have had ABS and the M/C would be 2 port. I thought it was only early WRX and DCCD equipped cars that had no ABS and 4 port M/Cs.
In answer to your which goes where question, dunno
Maybe take a look at a non ABS set up.

Thank you for the swift reply, I was hoping it was a non ABS master cylinder.
Basically I have upgrade my oem brakes on my car to AP's, I was originally just running AP's on the front and the OEM master cylinder coped with that fine, however now I have fitted AP's on the rear too the pedal has gone very spongey and the master cylinder is struggling to do the job. The Subaru master cylinder and servo have the same stud pattern and bolt straight up so I thought I would give it a go. It came from a well know internet auction site so I have no idea which line goes to which port on the cylinder.
Might have to take a trip to a dealer and take a look on their parts catalogue.

I wouldn't have thought there would have been any non ABS UK cars.
Try and find a DCCD classic or non ABS WRX.
I plan to do away with the ABS on my car so I have an interest in this info too.
At a guess I'd say there should be a diagonal split, i.e. the front piston ports go to one front and the opposite rear. The rear ports go to the other front and rear. That could be so much cr@p though.
I'll try to find some real info.

Your theory makes sense, but I guess I need a trip to Subaru to find out for sure.
