Mike, as said at the trackday, Zen do a couple of options, not sure on time scale of getting them tho.

Or as a half way house you can get a Cosworth Windage tray, Duncan has one on his newage.

Pace products?

Or go the whole hog and buy either an Accusump or, even better, a dry sump kit :)

Pace sump on the subaru is a waste of space/expensive and there is a groundswell of opinion in the Subaru community that the Accusump will do nothing if there is no oil in the sump to force through apart from force air. (I am unconvinced on it myself too) Anyway, it does not solve the real problem of surge itself - just masks it.

carl davey / John felstead do a great baffled sump http://www.carldavey.co.uk/diary.php?id=61

Lateral performance also do a very good one - speak to Mark and he will let you know what he has available for your model.

As for other halfway houses... (not fully baffled but help to control oil sloshing/blow-by)

Alyn at ASP does an exchange on the sump for

This is a common misunderstanding. The Accusump, via an electronic valve that senses oil pressure, will automatically send oil into the sump as soon as it detects a drop below that given pressure; therefore no air, just oil. And this is almost instant. Extensive testing by myself with APT proved that the system is an engine saver in the right circumstances. I fully appreciate that this is not exactly what Mike was asking about, as the post title says it all, but to dismiss the concept of an oil scavenging and accumulation system is ignorant when the same system is good enough for manufacturers like Lotus, Caterham, Westfield etc etc when they elected not to use a dry sump or baffled sump for various reasons.

Not wishing to cause a bun fight, merely trying to ensure that any information provided is accurate and as I have used the Accusump system with great results for two years, felt I had to put the record straight.

Back to you Mike :)

.... none of those other engines that use it use a boxer type engine where oil surges to the heads at either end of the block under cornering forces and causes huge breathing issues that way. If that breathed oil ends up going out of the exhaust or into catch cans, it will only be a matter of time before the accusump pressurised oil will run out. Obviously this will be longer as it carries more oil but it will run out.
