Ford two stroke engines

Post by Mike Broadbent »

Anyone know what became of the 2stroke engines Ford were developing in the early 1990's ?
In know that Norwich plod were running around in Fiestas powered by these engines and you could always spot one because of the large diameter tail pipe. At the time these engines were supposed to be more economical and with a 400 to 1 mixture, but after a couple of years they disappeared completely.

Pablo or Bart are probably the best ones to tell you as they know everything Ford wise.
