Prodrive 3-Way Electronic Boost Control Solenoid.....
Do you run this EBCS with the restrictor pill in place or not, on a 2Lt STi with VF35 Turbo. ??
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Now that is a pukka site!!

I was wondering why i was getting such high boost spike and after reading various bits and pieces online i have come to the conclusion the pill restrictor has to go
I was hoping you would reply to this Duncan as i knew you knew for sure. Thanks for confirming this
Nice one :thumb:

I seem to be having to run some quite high WDGC to hit boost using the prodrive solenoid. I'm sure i have this solenoid hooked up right in interrupt mode. Before when running with a pill the WGDC wasn't anywhere near so high but it was spiking.
Do i have a leak somewhere after the turbo?? Maybe turbo to TMIC or TMIC to throttle body hose??
Or perhaps leak before the Turbo, uppipe side?? I can't hear any exhaust blowing though or smell any unburnt fuel like when the OEM uppipe was leaking via the flexibit on my old WRX engine, so i can only assume the prob is up top somewhere.
Any suggestions??

Whereas before i had 48% WGD for 20PSI peak with the pill, i am now at 78% for 21PSI peak.
I must have a leak somewhere is all i can think of as 1PSI in the grand scheme of things even with this VF35 is bugger all and shouldn't require the extra 30% WGD.
For the extra 1PSI and with the Prodrive BCS i would have expected the WGD to at least remain the same even with a 1PSI boost increase.
Also with an increase in boost i would have expected MAF to rise even a little bit and it hasn't, so i need to go through everything at the weekend and make sure everything is clamped up and airtight.
I'll see what turns up.
