Can anyone help me ehere, I have the ATI damper kit fitted on my car, (R32 ),,, but it keeps shredding my power steering belts.... I have been through 3 of them already this year..... it seems to shred them on the front of the belt... cant see any deformity in the pulleys.... also the belt looks like its in the middle of the pulleys.. I cant get my head around this.....any ideas...??

I had similar on my alloy pulleys on the Orange when we were using slightly softer non Nissan belts. They were ones alot of places use and had never been a problem before but the combination of my new engines ability to rev through fast and the design of the alloy pulleys did three or four belts in as many times on track and kept flipping the power steering belt over. We changed to a harder belt that was genuine Nissan and it cured it.

Mark at Abbeys also confirmed they had similar experience on various engines.

Got a PM from Abbey on a possible solution... so will be in touch with them tomorrow,,,, car is running well at the moment despite the shredded belt...
