Results from RR day at Engine Advantages on 4th May

Post by boucherie »

just a quick report on a RR day i attended with the GTIR forums. Car had originally made 358.4bhp and 331lbft at 1.2Bar on EA's rollers back in sept 06 and the only change to my car had been a custom elbow and downpipe.

Ambient Temp was prob around 18deg C and my car was first up.

Figures were 379.4bhp and 318lbft at 1.35Bar but the peak power was made a further 400rpm higher up. Bearing in mind that im still running standard internals and the stock maf thats not bad goin although the MAF is now right on the limit at this point so debating whether to fit the Z32 and go for 400bhp or leave the stock maf in knowing that the engines healthy in current conditions.

dyno sheet will be put up once scanned and video is attached of the first run

Nice power figures 8)

Any ideas on why the torque was down even though the boost was higher?

I know Zak always says that EA's torque figures are always low, but BHP is pretty accurate. Thats compared to his delta dsah figures.
Take regular exercise, walk to you car!

i would imagine the torque figure is a bit lower due to the new free flowing elbow and downpipe as opposed to the restrictive stock elbow that was on there when first mapped.
