yep its all about 'back in the day' i've just maDE an airbox for my twin 45 dellortos and have removed the trumpets from the carbs.

anyone know of potential differences this will make to the car?

well for the racing minis (mini miglias) when they have an airbox fitted combined with a webber, they make about 8 bhp so your's should be in the region of that.
