Maf Question.

A quick Maf (mas) sensor question. Is it correct that on a running engine, unplugging the maf will make the engine stall? If the maf is suspect the engine will continue to run? This is on a diesel car, not sure if that makes a difference.

not always the case,better off getting it checked with someone who has the right equipment than start unplugging things and making it worse

Un plugging the MAF on a Mondeo TDCI wont make it stall

Interesting, what is the correct way of checking out a maf? Dont want big expence because its on my

Put a multimeter onto Ohms (resistance) setting and put each of the probes you have across two seperate terminals in the maf sensor plug end, depending on which MAF sensor you have depends on which two terminals. Then whilst you blow warm air from your breath into the MAF sensor intake watch the nesdle on the multimeter move. If it doesn't move then it's likely you have a faulty MAF.
