What mods ????

Hi all , ive just got a v3 sti scoob and was wondering what mods i would need to brake the 300 bhp barrier ? its currently got a 3" Kakimoto exhaust , Blitz air filter and will soon have a 3" downpipe , the car already feels really Quick but would like to break into the 300's :) .

might already be there, have you got an uprated fuel pump on there because a lazy standard pump was what killed my last engine
best bet get it on the rollers for a power run and check its running all ok, that way you will also find out what the figures are if you need to know :grin:

No mate i haven't got a fuel pump yet , thats the next thing on my list :) , i'm on the list for the scoobycity RR day at the end of the month so i want the DP and fuel pump on before then really .

What is the car going to be used for, that will dictate what further things you should do to the car.

First things first - detalarm/knocklink and boost gauge, apologies if I'm stating the obvious. FWIW my STi4 made 302bhp on power engineering's dyno fresh after a rebuild with only a downpipe, 2.5" exhaust and filter. It's getting a fuel pump, ported headers and Apexi remap soon.

Ive got defi gauges mate , haven't got knocklink yet but will do soon tho . car feels quick now and its still on the standard dp . Now lookin for a fuel pump but dont no where to get one from .

Most subaru tuners wil have te fuel pump in stock - try scoobymania http://www.scobymania.com

What TK said and others, if it's safe it'll probably make 300 on Vpower or Tesco 99 and some octane booster. Use octane booster at every fill to be on the safe side until you get a mappable ecu. Knocklink will let you know if there's a det problem rather than finding out the expensive way.
