Post by Tk »

just wondered what peoples opinions are on fitting a type RA roof vent to a non RA
i like the idea of them in the summer without having the windows open

if you look through Frayz's posts you'll find his thread on how to fit one.

Handy when Sprinting in the Summer as you aren't allowed to have your front windows open!

Other than that tho I hardly use it.

Yes, it is deemed "cool" to have one in car geek world

Most of my non car mates either say, my thats a small sunroof, or as my girlfriend calls it, the "bin lid"

I often put the air con on and then switchit off before the green light. It has the added benefit of bringing on the rad fans so, keeps the water temp down.

Anbother secret out of the bag

Personally, I wouldn't Trev but then a wagon with a roof vent would look a bit too :gay:

i ditched the aircon when i had the engine work done , if it was working i would have kept it, might have only needed a regass, anyway its gone
i dont want to be an RA wannabe but i can see how it has a purpose and not just bling

I'm tempted to ditch mine too as I'm slowly turning the car to moretrack bias, but it does get uncomfortably warm in a summer start line.
