immobiliser help

Post by rayman gtir »

i had a problem with the car had it up on axle stands, i had a leaky hose from the oil cooler pipe. anyway sorted that done a filter and oil change aswell. got it all back together to run it up and check it pipes for leaking, put key in ignition pressed button on key fob.......nothing no ignition lights nowt, only things that are on are my boost controller and turbo timer, no ignition lights. checked the battery voltage it was at 11v which is enough to start the car.

well is there anyone out there handy with car electrics and could point me in the right direction. i have disconnected the battery and put it on charge and replaced key fob battery aswell. otherwise i think i will have to buy another immobiliser which has come at the wrong time of year :x

well maybe disconnecting the battery did the trick, as i put it all back on from being freshly charged and all was fine. the only thing was while i was trying to sort it out yesterday i accidently knocked the boost controller and now the thing nowhere nears boost to 1.2bar. it starting to be one thing after another lol. least its nothing major

Good news Dave. It's always a pleasant surprise when it turns out to be something simple. God knows, it don't happen that often :)
