The young ones (trailer test)

Post by IWANT1 »

Has anyone who passed there test since Jan 1st 1997 taken there towing test to make them
legal to tow over 750kg as not being able to tow the ax to events is starting to be a hassle
(My interpretation of the law anyway) :?:

(Dad normally tows but it not really practical/fair to have a day of every time i want some fun)[/u]

I have the same trouble mate.

Why should the old cronies be trusted to tow rather than us sharp alert young guys? :P

TBH i towed all the time when i was in the forces and some of it was some big trailers.

Weight when you have it will be anything up to the limit of the tow vehicle.
I am waiting untill work puts me through my class 1 HGV test and then i can tow, already have class 2 but i cant tow anything on that.

This is interesting when i spoke to Swansea about what i am entitled to drive and that they said i am entitled to tow a trailer even though it does not show it on my licence i ask the question 3 times to make sure and was told i can defo tow a trailer as long as the combined weigh does not exceed 3.5ton car+trailer and contents i would ring Swansea and ask as its only after a certain date of passing that you need the trailer test so i was told. They just ask for your licence number and they can tell you all from that
