Hey Guys
I have a 1992 Sunny GTi, which has the SR20DE engine in it. Now is it possible to put a turbo on and what work would be involved. I know that the GTi-R has the SR20DET in it.
Just curious as it might be a future investment.

Easiest thing to do would probably be to swap in the GTiR engine.
If you don't want to do that then you could quite easily turbo the original engine using GTiR parts along with some custom oil/water feeds and an intercooler. As you'd be running a high compression motor you'd only be able to run a small turbo at fairly low boost, and you'd also need to sort out the fueling and mapping.

in my opinion, it would be alot easier and cheaper to buy a gtir for 2.5k-3k. you would need ecu, loom, walboro fuel pump. to much messing about in my opinion.
