Hello Guys,

I'm looking for a few compressor wheels as a new spare part. In bigger turbo companies they do not sell wheels only. They want the old turbocharger to be brought back and then selling me a whole new unit. That's quite not my intention, because the wheels are thought for another application.

The compressor wheels I'm looking for are working in the following turbo's:

GT3076R

GT4088
or
GT4088R
or
GT4094R

Do you know any good repair station who will sell me just the wheels?

Thanks alot for your recommendations.

Not to teach you to suck eggs but you know these wheels you're listing are very differnet and you can't just slap them in any old turbo and it'll work don't you??
You need to have the seat ground/cut out etc not to mention the machining on the compressor in inner chambers.

Speak to garrett they will make up a turbo to order, or turbo technics etc they can help you

How do you plan to balance the shaft after fitting a new wheel John?
Do you have the ability to do this? As this is very difficult and essential (Read costly) for fitting a new wheel.

Hi Cat, Hi Tony.

Thanks for your replies. I know about the balancing and the fitment problems, it's not my intend to replace a wheel in an existing turbo unit.

I need the wheels for new gas turbine projects, these compressors have outstanding specifications which make them very suitable for my intends.

For the project I will build the whole engine arround the existing compressor, that is the diffuser, combustion chamber, shaft, NGV, turbine wheel and nozzle plus cases.

And yes, I got a balancing machine which is able to display imbalances in micro-grams.

So your recommend is to talk to Garrett themselves? Will they sell parts"only" like these?

Will try that one.

Thanks a bundle.
