Are there any tricks when removing R32 door cards

Post by Ben »

I need to remove my door cards this weekend .. are there any pesky secret screws I need to find and remove before tugging the damn thing and snapping anything.

no there isnt any hidden ones but make sure you get the one out from where the handle/lever bit is tho.

they are pretty sturdy so come out quite easily.....well mine did

Mate, make sure you undo all the screws !!! When I removed my door cards from the Rex there were a couple that werent in obvious places. Dont force it mate as the plastic is over 12 years old and quite brittle !

This is copied from your workshop manual:

Hope it helps !!

Just for reference.

Drivers door - basically as above .. BUT

Passenger door.

Screw behind bottom of hand grip
Screw behind window switch

then the same as driver door .. BUT

Don't do what I did and leave the windows open - dismantle car then realise that I no longer have a switch to close windows with !! .. doh
