Recommended Scooby gearbox and diff oil?

Post by Shaker »

Hi guys just wondering what thoughts some of you scooby owners have on this. I'm going to be changing the gearbox oil and diff oils in my scoob and a friends at the same time and the generall concensus seems to be syntrax universal for both the gearbox and diff which is fine untill i checked the price :o So my question is are there any cheaper alternatives out there which do the same job or is syntrax 75/90 the best out there? also im in the trade and am haveing a hard time getting this for under

<5 Litres should be enough of good quality 75/90 Castrol, Millers Motul etc.

<4L in the box and 1 in the diff. Drain & level plugs put up a hell of a fight but a 1/2" drive fits nicely.

Overfill the gearbox by 10mm as third sits high.

You could try Alyn at AS Performance. Good bloke and a BP trader.

Thanks again guys for all the info!
Alyn both the cars are STI's however mine is a wagon STI so im unsure if she will have a LSD fitted being the wagon.
What do you recommend for use in the gearbox and rear diffs and how quickly could i get enough to do both cars.
Thanks in advance..
