210bhp as standard, as far as I know they are as you suggest block wise. They use a 24v set up and a pretty tough too.

the 24v cosworth is a good engine to have
there are two types of engine available the early engine had 194 bhp and the later engine had 204bhp
there are few easy mods you can do to it main one being the exhaust as the manifolds do
restrict the engine a bit and a induction kit to to help it breath.
our sponser of our track car fitz at top boss performance tuning he specialises in these engines and has managed to
fit a engine into a westfield and he has built a monster car with this engine of his own
his website is
http://www.topbossperformance.co.uk
if this is not enuf power for you there are few options you can do
1- single turbo
2- twin turbo
3- supercharger
4- twin supercharger
if you ask for somethink he can do it

yes Bart is spot on.
The cossie 24V engine is superb and was actaully massively restricted for the Scorpio etc.
Exhaust/Induction mods can raise power to 250bhp.
Geoff of TT runs one in his Sierra with twin VNT turbos and sees 500bhp+ and not much boost!

Now, now boys
I would have to politely request that all horsepower figures, gains or otherwise are backed up. If the engine is capable of those gains then that really is something special but it does
seem a bit too good to be true.
Proof please :thumb:

Sounds like a challenge lol  .
Point taken though Stu, but these engines were restricted heavily on the intake, exhaust and cats. The engines have massive potential. Try one in your Sierra!

Don't forget you decat and remap.
I'm aware of the proven gains that have been achieved with this engine using different exhausts and induction and its not 40bhp, more like 25. I have no problem per se with gains that get banded about but it is important that we maintain an integrity of not exaggerating claims.Help us keep BigPower BS free :thumb:
