My new Top Secret diffuser. Lots of pics.

Post by 323ian »

Well after a long wait it finnally arrived and was well worth the wait!!

After leaving a full day ahead for the fitment i was hit by the first problem, Japanese instructions!! All it had was a picture of a japanese bloke with a drill going into the bodywork of the car and then the next bit was a picture of it installed on the car, needless to say this was no good! I gave Rick at drag and drift a call and he kindly offered to translate it all for me into English.

I finally got into it then and John (mirage) and another friend kindly came and helped me for the day.

It was all going ok until we came to a dry fit and it hit my large Nismo exhaust system :(

After a bit of head scratching i decided there was only one tool suitable for the job, an angle grinder! :o
This was very painfull putting a grinder a piece of Top Secret carbon but it had to be done!!
After cutting and trying a dry fit 7 times i finnaly had it spot on;

The next bit of hard work was shapeing the back of the Nismo spats i had on so i could fit them back on over the top of the corner sections of the diffuser, this would give a very nice one off custom look (or so i hoped!)

After many hours drilling, filling and grinding i finally had it all done.
Now just a final step of bolting everything up perfectly level.

Here is a few pictures of it installed on the car;

After it was all done we realised that i had to grind
