Hi, i am after a new exhaust for my BMW 535i . Its a bit past its best. I have looked into aftermarket and stainless systems but they all seem pricy. I was just wondering if there was anywhere local'ish that can fabricate a mild steel system for me, i need to keep the cost down.
Thanks in advance.

I've had a quick look around my normal suppliers for this and they have all come up with either stainless or sweet FA. The only local fabricator that I know of for this is Mark who runs Power and Performance but I have never used him personally so cannot vouch for the quality of his work. It may be worth giving him a call..........

How much were you expecting to pay anyway?

From my experience though the only way you will get something significantly cheaper than the above, is if someone has one of the shelf or you can make one yourself. As soon as you mention 'custom' prices will be higher. It may sound silly, but have you tried somewhere like Kwik Fit. They were super cheap on an old Ford exhaust I needed.

The exhaust on the beast is a huge twin pipe system, bloody heavy and expensive in standard form as well. Bloody sounds good though! I got it bodged up at wilco/fast fit for the MOT, still got a slight blow but they passed it.
