Where to get methonol for a water meth kit??

Yes as above where can i get methonol from for a water meth kit?? I've heard about the screen wash rumor but can't say i'm kean on that :? it's for a kit that sprays the meth/water direct onto the fmic.

Dont use screen wash... how much do you want ?
Be carefull spraying meth near hot engine parts. It burns with a colourless flame and can make you blind as well as dead LOL

It will be a very diluted mix so i'm told or been advised not pure meth and i will be using solely for cooling and not gaining more power (well i may change my mind :twisted: )

It will be going in a 2.2 litre tank and don't have any idea how much i'll need though as it will depend on how much i use it, the 2.2 litre tank will supply enough spray for a constant 6 mins full out continual.

Wasn't going to use the screen wash
didn't like that idea atall.
The kit comes with a control box and can be set on rev curves etc or manually 8) also has warning light etc for low level which is good if i do use it for tuning benefits.

What benefit will spraying methanol onto a fmic have?
I was led to believe that the latent heat removal through evaporation is greatest with water.

Methanol has a faster evaporation. It will evaporate when it is sprayed on a surface over 11 deg C. But it is corrosive to aluminum.
methanol 472 BTU per lb but will evaporate at a low temp. Once it changes state. from a liquid it can not return
water 972 BTU per lb Can and will return to liquid again. Has a low air saturation point

If you want something to spray onto an intercooler you want to get some of the stuf plumbers use to freeze water in the pipes so they can then cut and cap the pipe. I will be getting some for the next pod run ill give my intercooler a good spray of it just befor i run should be nice and cold charge temps then 8)
