You need to really sit down and sketch out the oil flow through all of the components and work out what needs to flow into or around what.

Think I've worked it out now. I was being a bit thick! :-D

A one-way valve should be used to ensure the oil flow from the accusump to the gallery and not back to the pump (according to Burton) but accusump instructions don

The setup on my Striker kit car didn't have a one way valve and it seemd to work OK but it would ensure maximum oil delivery to the bearings if the Accusump was triggered. The Accusump was T'd into the return line from the oil cooler. The issue I had with this setup was that the sandwich plate didn't have a thermostat to control oil cooling. If one was fitted from what I see the Accusump won't be re-filled properly uinless the thermostat is open. On a road car you should always fit an oilstat/thermostat to protect you engine and oil.

What I've done is to use a water cooled sandwich plate instead and the Accusump is now plumbed directly to the oil pump exit gallery. The oil won't flow back through the ouil pump as i've tested it.
