advice please

just purchaced some alloys they are 17x7j what size tyres do they need as they did not come with any on

profile is down to your preference, but i would stick between 215 to 235 as regards width.

As Andy says - 215 - 235 would be favourite. I'd go 225.45.17 as they are pretty common and hence prices are reasonable.

Michelin Primacy 225 45 17 225/45/17 tyres x 4 r17
these r on ebay are they a good alround tyre only 120 for the set at moment and 4 hrs left they arnt new but got 6mm tread left

If you are going that size, then my Bridgestone RE070's are awesome in the Dry, on the track and ok in the wet

Hello Mate
As regareds to the size of the rim and tyre size i ordered some 18" by 7.5"J and they could only put 225 on because of the width of the wheel.I think the biggest tyre you can put on a 8"J is 245 so yor 7"J rims would have to have 215.I dont know if this affects your insurance in the event of a crash if the tyres are the wrong size.I hope this has helped :-D
