Harness question.

Post by Nik »

If I got a 6 point harness, would I be able to leave the bottom 2 straps off and just use the top , or would I have to use all 6?

Any theories?

I only ask as I have aquired one 4 point harness and was looking on ebay for one to match but the only one that matches at the moment is a 6 point one.

if its either a cheaper 6pt or a 4pt converted to 6 then you can easily use just the 4 points as the buckle will be attatched to a side lap strap

however, would not advise using a pukka 6pt without the crutch strap as they have the buckle attatched to this and therfore you can't remove the lower straps.................

i have a couple of pairs of decent 4/5/6 point belts removed from competition cars re; date issues although having had relatively low use.............

**cars competing in MSA/FIA events have to have dated harness's**
