Well, we've got a bit more to come. My local plastic shop will sell me a large piece of extruded acrylic for about 25 quid. They'll then charge me about 2 quid per panel I want cut out of that.
So....4 windows and a sunroof cover please!
That should save me a chunk more weight - glass is heeavy (like yeah man).
We're also junking the central locking mechanism, and the window winding mechanisms on 3 of the doors. Then I think we're about done.
Anyone in Ely got corner scales??

My glass was removed from the Sierra and save about 45kgs when swapped for Polycarbonate. Your efforts should pay off handsomely James. What was the original kerb weight on yours by the way?

I have googled for it - so far we have:
1176kgs
1230kgs
1206kgs
1210kgs
I think around 1200kgs.

Will be a very similar power to weight ratio to my Sierra ( 1010kgs with 25 litres of fuel and 167bhp) That will go very nicely around the twisties

I hope so, yes. If we can get the brakes working, then the suspension/R888 combination should be interesting.
Of course, Snetterton is a power track, pure and simple - I've raced there too many times not to know that to my cost...

:(
Now...Lydden on the other hand!
