Lights problem

Post by Nik »

I got in my car to come home from work tonight and I turned the lights on as normal........ the headlights came on but no rear lights or dash lights. I turned the front foglights on and hey presto, rear lights and dash lights. I have checked all the fuses and none of them have blown. I am guessing that it is a problem with the switch as I also noticed that the side lights didn't come on at the first click.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Yep - come R32 problem - get yourself a new light switch - you could try cleaning the contacts - my symptoms were passenger lights not coming on - cleaned the contacts on the switch - all sorted.

Sounds like a bad earth to me.

Had very similar symptoms on a Renault I had, took it in to Panks and it turned out to be an earth.
