Hi has anybody had their discs cryogenically frozen, supposed to improve wear , heat dissipation and resist disc warp by upto 3 times? cheers Lee.

interesting idea, never heard of that, surely that`s an expensive treatment?

Cryogenically - isn't that what they do to rich american's who want to be revived in the future?.

Got through 2 sets of discs on my jaguar s type r in under 10k ( Brembo brakes),thankfully covered under warranty,but this expires in june. so if i 'm going to be paying i'll try these guys!.Approx

I'll have to dig out an article I was reading on this. In broader minded circles (ie the States) it is pretty widely accepted to work. Great to hear you're using the Jaguar properly Lee. 2 sets in 10k, excellent work Sir :thumb:

i wish they would make their minds up!!
heat treated for strength? now freeze the little buggers?
it was a good read in the link duncan posted asking about skimming discs.
stating the odds of actually ever warping discs is very rare if at all?
anyone ever tried ceramic brakes?

If this treatment works then why not save money and have your pistons treated and not fork out for forged pistons?

'I couldn't afford forged pistons... but I stuck the standard ones in the freezer for 24 hours so they should be stronger" :-D
