The internal vane design is poor compared to good quality stuff like PF or AP.
Have you had the same problem Dunk?? If you did give you give a light skim or just a rub up to remove the deposits or did new pads clean up the discs ok??

Once you have severe deposits the discs generate heat under where the deposits are and changes the structure of the material unevenly. A skim may get rid of it but 99% chance of returning very soon after.
I have not had pad deposit issues since throwing away DS2500 and using PF pads.
The issue with the cracked discs was that the compbrake disc design was not up to the job.

normal wear limit for those rotors is 2mm MAX so that is almost certainly your cause........
