Dont we all :D

Without the turbo you have to rely on conventional tried and tested procedures for tuning but essentially looking at improving the air pump nature of an engine.

Huge gains are expensive and time consuming though.

Pablo's raised a very good point about considering other mean of improving performance.

Take my car for example - I'm never going gain 50-odd BHP without spending loads of cash, but the biggest single real world performance improvement is changing the final drive and/or messing about with individual ratios. Yes, top speed is reduced but acceleration is awesome :)

New FD will be my next performance mod I think.

Cheers,
Alex

You won't learn anything from me Tom.

Over the 18 years I've been into cars I've spent thousands on things I didn't really need, but the purchases made me feel better at the time. If you really, really want to go faster invest the money in driver training.

That way you will go quicker no matter what you drive and have some great fun along the way.

(That is my first lesson by the way)

He's right you know. It's not visible, audible or tactile, cosmetic or aesthetic but it's there and it makes the car faster.

Best thing, it's readily transferable to any car you drive. 8)
