my last scoob felt great after a few mods and a re-map, then as it did not make the number I had in mind, it was 'slow' after going on the rollers. And so the long and expensive process starts.
My current scoob, is quick enough, but has not been on a roller, partly due to the above.

+1 for the oil pump change and make sure it has the modified oil pressure plunger/piston otherwise it will do the same as mine
Take your old oil pump off, clean it up and change the plunger for one from Bill Gwynne Racing School online shop. He's the chap that runs a very well known rally school.

my STI V3 RA made 297BHP with just a decat and uprated panel filter, you can get your OE ECU mapped now with ESL, never had mine on the rollers since the last round of mods incase i end up dissapointed, im happy with the way it drives power level it produces, like the others say dont get hung up on numbers!!

How long has ESL had the 97/98 ecu mappable?
