I presume you mean the cusco ones Francis?

I will give them a bash tomorrow to see if they have them in stock - unless they do they will be bringing them in from japan and mid may is the earliest.

Thanks for taking the time to search

A custom built cage is the only realistic option.

At least this way, even if it is not done in time for donington, it will be a good cage and be a lot safer than the cusco one (and will please Ross) :D

This is the way to go I feel now.

I have one quote already for a weld in cage custom built which is pretty reasonable and will allow me to add elements to it in the future to make it even better.

The quote so far was from Andy Robinson Race Cars (http://www.robinson-race-cars.co.uk) and they could do just after Donington.

I will speak to SHP in littleport tomorrow to see if they can do it in the time available.

No worries Duncan, and you're welcome. A custom cage sounds like a good way to go, then you know it's perfect!!

Nice one :thumb:

Thanks for chatting to SHP Motorsport for me Ross :thumb:

Going to whiz the car up there on Monday to chat and spec out the cage for it as something that will offer some good protection to start with but also something that can be extended/improved on for the future for when the regs get tighter. 8)

Should appease the MSA Sprint Scruitineers too :D

The unny thing was when I told her about the only option being available off the shelf were full FIA spec rally cages, she asked when it was arriving

If can put a base cage in to start with whether 6 point or whatever, and are able to add to it with things like rear X and door bars in due course or when regs change/money available - its got to be a good plan I think.

Dont anyone dare give them too much work before they need to do mine ;)
