Looks awesome!
fpmsl
Its just I was testing a material that I think might make a good front splitter and undertray with a heat gun to see how it would fare in close(ish) proximity to the headers and wanted to know how the heat would compare. The heat gun would probably be 200C

:pmsl: Any excuses for not winning 2008 time attack will be a bit wooden after this.
I hear......
Ceramic coated headers, downpipes etc... are only warm to the touch shortly after having been used in anger due the the coating both on the inside and outside being super insulative. Coated is the way to go but nowhere near as inexpensive as wrapping.

what sort of heat wrap will you be using? how much over lap etc
i have just covered my down pipe in this stuff.
it is the xtreme one
http://www.thermallogic.co.uk/page6.html
very easy to put on, and after a hard price you can slap it with your hand, and it is hot to the touch when you do this, but not enough to burn. and can hold your hand very close to it with no probs.
i used a 50ft roll,with around 1/4 of it over lapted.
it covered the hole decat down pipe, and about a 1/4 over wraping on the top of it.
hope this helps mate

Finally found the notes from my old single seater. Wrapped exhaust coming into the pits was c80- 85 deg C. Running on the dyno we were seeing much higher, but very poor airflow compared to in the car. Without the wrap on the dyno we could make the super thin wall exhaust so hot I swear it went translucent!
I know the airflow and engine are very different to your scoob, but I hope it gives you an idea of numbers.
