You need either the OE P1 links, from Subaru, that are ball jointed, or the Whiteline rose jointed drop links. Subaru ones are a bit cheaper but Whiteline are more substantial and offer adjustable length.
Hi Gerry, i have the adjustable whiteline. And also alloy wishbones.

Go for the Group N/prodrive setting, adds negative camber and a bit of toe out and made my car feel 100% better than it did, sharp turn in etc.

To what Gerry said, don't put the STI 5/6 springs on, I hated them, too much pitch under heavy braking made the back end feel very light :!:

Dependant on cash etc in the winter, I am going to look out for some sort of coilover kit to see how that improvs things!
Do Autotest have the above settings you quoted? And can they fit the drop links?

yes they do, they are top blokes.

I am sure they could fit the drop links, but as Gerry mentioned, it seems they may not fit your, what model of Impreza have you got?

The drop links should be a straight fit. It's only a bolt through either end. Although without seeing the problem, there must be something to complicate it. :?:

Well when they were trying to fit them i had to point out that they should be fitted with the wheels on the ground or at least simulated with a jack! They also said they needed longer bolts than what was supplied. And when they did sort of manage to get one close they said they were sitting at an angle. :?
Also my rear ARB is set at the middle hole.

You're right. The arbs should be tightened with the weight on the wheels. The arb and wishbone fittings don't line up, that's why the rose/ball joints. Maybe you should go elsewhere, if only to a place that has a selection of M8 bolts

Middle hole is about right for the rear arb, that's the 22mm position iirc

Went to Autotest today to enquire about an alignment using the Prodrive settings. I took along the SCA printout for them to look at. As soon as i showed him the printout he started tutting  . He pointed out that a few of the settings were crap to say the least. They were very helpfull and my car is booked in for Thursday morning.

It looks like they use ballast as well to compensate for the driver.

I have a sub and amp in the boot, is it reccomended to remove this prior to alignment or wont it matter too much?

Thanks
JM

dynamix wrote:What geometry settings did SCA use ? - they make a massive difference to the feel and performance of the car.

If they gave you a printout of the settings - can you scan and post it?
Just got the settings scanned in. The first one is standard suspension with lowering springs that were on the car when i got it. And the second is with all my suspension goodies fitted.
Looking forward to my visit to Autotest tomorrow!
