Method of man fat, brasso and scotchbrite :D

I dont really have one mate,

The secret to keeping black good for along time is washing corectly with 2 buckets and a lambswool mitt. This will keep your swirls to a minimum.

I thin use, a mixture of products from Meguiars, Poorboys, Clearkote and Collinite.

Colloinite is without doubt the best performing wax for water beading ive ever used... lasts ages and works great. :D

I use the same system that Gareth uses, though I use the second step polish rather than nxt. Why do you do this Gareth?

The most important thing I would stress is using very good quality cloths. I use the meguiars applicator pads and meguiars cloths, I couldn't belive the difference it made!

Swirl marks are the main thing to worry about on black cars, they give the paint the really dry look that you want to avoid. The three step meguiars system helps get rid of them (or you can have the car mopped once a year) but making sure the car is absolutely clean befre polishing and doing things like starting with the top of the car and working down helps to, though I think I'm probably stating the obvious there.

I havent really got any pics of the right angle hosted but you get the idea

I find that the NXT is a good polish and contains a small amount of wax in it also so it makes it much smoother when wiped off.

Try doing one panel in the Stage 2 Meguiars Polish and then another with NXT polish and then compare, the NXT will be much smoother. Then put the Stage 3 carnuba wax on both. You will definitely feel and see the difference between them.

Just my opinion though, give it a try and see what you think.

I will second the use of good quality towels and pads.......all of mine are Meguiars and are perfect for the job !!! Make sure you put them in the washing machine though every once in a while, they come up like new again !!

Also get your car polished, take a pic and then send it to Meguiars, when they put it on the site they send you a free towel (its a terry towel to wipe off the polish !!) Cant say fairer than that !!!!
