Hehe, not to mention the weight lost from the driver's waistline in the last couple of years eh James!!

How prone is the 2.5 straight-6 to oil surge? Investigating that and dealing with it is something I reckon you should add to the must-do list, with the lateral force those R888's can generate.

Well, we've got a bit more to come. My local plastic shop will sell me a large piece of extruded acrylic for about 25 quid. They'll then charge me about 2 quid per panel I want cut out of that
how local :?:

Dunno - I've read some things about it, but that might cost more than 30 quid, hence out of my budget...

Excellent retort James. I would love to follow your 'don't spend if you don't need to' but I have been corrupted by the likes of Dunkinator and Madenglishman. They are both evil and to be avoided at all costs :thumb:

My Sierra has been a more simplistic build................but in fairness it has been in a shed for the last year. Can't your sump be welded with some plates? That should be very cost effective and may be enough.

I have got my E30 down to 1085kg last time we weighed it, and I am now putting on a GRP bonnet and front bumper and have removed some of the soundproofing
