Citroen Saxo VTR Engine?

Does anyone know if the 1.6 8v VTR engine from Citroen was fitted to any Peugot model excluding the rallye?

I may be wrong but i thought the vtr just had the standard psa 1.6 90bhp unit fitted? So surely it could be found in any late 90`s early 00`s peugeot or citroen from a 206/306 to a xsara etc?
