Thanks for the suggestions chaps :)

I put some stuff in the petrol that's supposed to help burn off carbon deposits. I know but they were raving about the stuff on the RX-8 forum so I thought why not?

Went to Silverstone today (another story to be told very soon) and it felt as if it was pulling much stronger. Who knows? The previoous owner worked in central London so all that sitting in traffic does no engine any favours.

Dax to sort first and have some good ideas to sort the overheating (yet another story). I'll see how the Mazda goes on the next couple of tankfulls which is the big test, apparently.
