Yes - fly by wire throttle.

Mixture of fuel and ignition cut to keep turbo spinning but phased back in gradually when revs drop or traction gained.

I guess I need to change my throttle body then. Now I need to do some research into fly by wire TB's, which cars have them as OEM and what sizes. Need to go hunting in the Toyota parts bin.

Most arent drive by wire - it isnt needed for launch control. Solaris ecu will work with either set up.

Does it use wheel speed sensors too? Just need to figure out how to get the M4 Motec to do it.

I was hoping to knock something up very crudely and simply. Maybe a wheel speed sensor on a rear wheel that sends a signal so that if a rear wheel is stationary the maximum rpm = x. Just need to be able to have that controlled on one of my steering wheel buttons so that if I lock a rear wheel under braking the engine revs aren't cut.

It is something you need to speak to a Motec specialist about - Gary springs to mind. A bag of money helps to attract decent set up though.

Alternatively just bury the throttle into the carpet and sidestep the clutch :D

That is an option, but even with slicks and an lsd it spins its wheel in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and when you snatch 4th. When it was road legal without the diff it could spin its wheels in 5th!
