scooby turbo upgrade

at last car is runnin right, 303bhp @1.1Bar

noticed my boost peaks and comes on about 4250rpm so it's better suited for more modded cars than mine running higher boost.

i'm thinking of going back to either a vf23 or vf24 so i get quicker spool up, and i'm not likely to increase my boost to more than 1.25 bar in the future.

the turbo i have is either a zerosports AR18 or AR20 if anyone's thinking of upgrading?

Not sure what you are asking dave.

Turbo wise - there are better turbos for spool than the one you have. A nice 18G will give you good boost, good power and good spool up too - prob full boost by 3500 at most.

i'm not looking for any significant power gains as i use the car every day so its all about getting the boost in earlier, it always felt quite laggy, changing up the box as its hitting full boost, i hardly spend any time on full boost at the moment.

put something like a VF JDM std turbo on there and it will probs make more power but far better spool than now..............

a sensibly run VF28/30/etc. is going to be capable of 320ish without stressing either turbo or engine and will spool at around 2600..........

I was going to suggest an unmolested VF35 being a nice option and will spool up nicely so by 2800-3000rpm you're getting 1bar, then run it at around 1.2-1.3 bar all day tailing off boost at about 6000-6500rpm no probs.

Plenty about 2nd hand.
