modified injectors,...hm... sounds interesting, never heard before, only change with bigger injectors.

Have you also changed your fuel pressure regulator or only your fuel pump like a walbro 255?

I've got a walbro 255 and adjustable FPR.
Having the walbro means peace of mind that the pump won't break down or let you down when you are on boost or at high rpm.

The adjustable FPR means you can set the fuel pressure to flow more fuel through the injectors for more power!! I have mine set at 4bar max and 3.5 at idle while the standard OEM FPR is preset at 3bar max and 2.5 at idle.

More power means sucking more fuel :( :D

I wonder if this mod is something you can do yourself. I do like to do things myself if i can help it. :D

I still have the injectors on my WRX engine and i also understand these flow the same 720cc when modified. I've read that the only difference between WRX and STi injectors is the screen.

Hmmm....thinking....thinking.... I feel a plan coming on :D

Sounds a worthwhile mod if it doesn't cost the earth. :D

So even though my injectors are scaled for 552 they are much less than that in reality. Interesting to get the pro's SP on this.

Cheers :thumb:

Well, i've just been offered an FP Green but not sure that's the route i want to take. Like a lot of things i suppose it depends on how much, how many miles it's covered, condition etc... and i need to ask around a few more questions too but it would be a direct bolt on replacement for my VF35.

As for injectors i am seriously thinking of modifying mine as a first step and that should take them to 720cc or thereabouts, and that will very definately get me over 400bhp-450bhp at 3bar fuel pressure with the right turbo, but equally take me well over that if required again with the right turbo.

That will be plenty power for now and will future proof me for a good while never mind the car as that's as far as i want to go on std STi8 internals :D
