Nice One Gerry!! =D>
I ran a VF35 for a while at 1.8 bar midrange tapering to 1.45 bar at peak power and down to 1.2 bar at redline. Any more or any less boost than that would drop power on my particular set up. Built 2L V5 with FMIC, Induction hose (a big no no with a VF35), cone Filter, no Maf. It made 390/370 on V Power with 6% Meth.ScoobieWRX wrote:My gearbox would surely explode if i go any more than that. It's already a bit suspect so i'll play safe.
By the way....do you know what the max safe limit on the VF35 is? I've been looking everywhere and not found a definitive answer on that as yet. I would like to experiment briefly  but i don't want to blow the turbo either
You are entirely correct, the standard 3 bolt up pipe is way to big for any stock turbine housing. We have a test up pipe here which is set to replace it in our 3 bolt manifold kits. .ScoobieWRX wrote:What i have sussed out from all this, and having done some more logging today, is that i'm not sure now if the decat 3 bolt uppipe that's part of the GT Spec GenII headers is a bit much for the VF35, and i'm now thinking a smaller diameter pipe would be better suited to the VF35 producing better spool up lower down.
