Agreed, when mine went it was running so rich nobody thought it could be the MAF and no MAF fault code came up. When my gasket went under my TMIC it would whistle like made when on boost and the boost was spiking, do you have a gauge?mike-payne wrote:disconnect maf and see if you have the same results...
Just a thought but could the cat of collapsed and broken up?
With so many Electrical faults, are all the engine earths ok?

The on-board systems checks don't take account every scenario which can cause a component failure, we regularly see failures with MAF and O2 sensors failing with no CEL.V3 Sti wrote:I'll check them aswell , my dads mechanic is coming to have a look tommorrow for me , its still showing no error codes too !! .
Rob .
As has already been said, internet diagnosis is tricky, could be MAF, unlikely to be Lambda though as it's ignored other than on cruise and idle.
I'm thinking Woody could be onto something with the collapsed/blocked cat, or maybe a MAF (or both)?

In that case, it may be worth splitting the multi connectors and spraying the contacts with WD40. Two on the near side between the battery and washer bottle. One on the driver's side by the air filter box.
These carry the electrics for all of the sensors for the engine, TPS, ICS, Coil pack, cam and crank sensors etc. While you're at it, the Lambda has a connector by the gearbox dip stick.
How often do you use the car and where is it stored when not used?

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
