Honda CRX Clutch Question

Post by LR6GSR »

Hi
A friend has an early CRX 89 ish non V Tech D 16 type engine wants an upgraded clutch
Problem is only ones listed are for B16 V Tech can this be a straight fit to a D16 or a component swap like flywheel to make it happen.

Any advise gratefully recieved Liam

no, b series clutchs wont match up to the D series clutchs. You can shop E-Bay and get one. Or if he's really wanting to see what works and dosnt work have him look on http://www.honda-tech.com. I'll glance around and see what I can find later tonight when I get home.

he can glance around on there for upgraded clutchs, if he wants more in depth, google is always a good way to go also.

CRX UK is a good site. Very knowledgeable users on the forum.

I used to have a crx vtec, the b16a1 gearbox is completely different to any other honda box, so i very much doubt the clutch would fit..unless he is running more power i would just stick with a standard one
