Had Geometry done

Post by Scoobyweb »

Was booked in at the Scoobyclinic today to have the Geom setup and an Oil & Filter change to get ready for the Ring trip. I can now see what people mean when they say what a huge difference it makes to the handling of the car.
This is my first Scooby and coming from an RX8 the understeer and subsequent lift-off oversteer of these cars is very evident. On the drive home I put it to the test on the odd roundabout and there was no understeer at all, in fact it felt a little of the oposite and felt like minor oversteer. This could be down to the fact that I swapped the front and rear wheels around last week because the fronts had scubbed the edges off. So now I have tyres with good tread on the front and tyres with only around 2-3 mm and scrubbed edges on the rear. Will probably replace them all before the Ring trip.
Anyway I am one happy bunny

Very happy Duncan, Just hope that the slight feeling of oversteer is down to the tyre arrangement, although I could probably get rid if it by messing around with tyre pressures. At the moment while pushing on a bit mid corner it feels like there is too much air in the front tyres. Must check them when the wife gets back with the car. :-D

is that with DCCD on auto?

It might be just the feeling, and getting used to it is all that is required.

Yep DCCD on auto, never really move it out of auto, only when reversing out of my drive.
Wifes back, gonna check the tyre pressures now.
