Hi guys,
I am wanting to remove the aircon on the GTR whilst I have the engine bay in a mess to replace the relocation kit etc.
Is it possible to do it myself or do I need someone to do it for me? i.e draining the system etc.
Do I need any parts to block anything off or change anything etc or is it just a case of removing the parts that are to do with the aircon?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Nik

When cars are in crashes the gas comes out then :?:jazzymonkey wrote:You should really have the system professionally de-gassed as the gas is not very environmentally friendly. And the planet is in a bad enough state as it is.

You should try getting a face full of that stuff. I was helping a mate to take the engine out of his R33 GTR and he told me it had been degassed. Guess what? It still had pressure in the system so when I undid one of the pipes it spat the gas and tracer all over me. Luckily, I have cat-like reflexes and managed to shut my eyes and mouth.
