That all sounds good. Maybe Worbs will be kind enough to post up a few step by step instructions, with pix, to show the likes of me, how to do it?

No go im afraid i cant do the bloody thing for some reason when i line up the timing marks the belt wont sit in the teeth on the pulley`s.

Ill attempt again tomorrow.

Although i can post up a step by step guide of how to nearly loose 2 fingers while trying to hold L-IN an L-EX pulley`s, as they are under tension due to the valves being half open, just dont put fingers in there and move either pulley they spin 180deg`s with some serious force..............................................OUCH.

Worbs, try taking one of the idler pulleys off at the bottom, that should sort it!
Also, its handy if you can get someone to hold the belt tight once you have it round one side of the engine!

You can gently clamp the rightmost two pulleys with mulgrips where they meet to keep them aligned.

This is sounding to be a little less straightforward than the impression given originally. It's now a two man job with some medical assistance standing by. :o

Cheers chap, getting a bit much for me now trying to juggle doing the car around so many things and its causing problems, was of work for a week a couple weeks back as tore a muscle in my neck and im sure it was due to hours of leaning over the bonnet of the bloody thing, and now the missus is convinced im having an affair with the dam thing as i seem to spend all my free time with it .
