I used a profex B spec II for about a year with no problems. Straight foward, easy to set up and nice and small. Boost now however goes through the power FC so i can select 4 set levels.

am just thinking of something temporary until I fit a new turbo and get a new boost controller. So might just by a mechanical one for the time being.

Depends what you want to do with it. Apexi AVCR is still very good and has some features that you don't find anywhere else. The Turbosmart Eboost is very capable indeed, but ideally benefits from the addition of a few switches and careful setup to get the most out of it. Greddy profec B is easy to setup but not great at making a turbo hold boost to the redline.

It's a shame there isn't a "perfect" boost controller with all the features I want. The best boost control I've come across is certain models of the standard Subaru ECU, some have over 20 maps for boost control!
